About me...

I trained in theatre design at Nottingham Trent University, and I was resident designer for the Queen’s Theatre, Hornchurch for several years.  I have been a freelance set and costume designer since 2004.

Queens Theatre, Hornchurch credits include: Hard Times, Having a Ball, Jack the Ripper, Don’t Dress for Dinner, A Chorus of Disapproval, Dracula, What the Butler Saw, The Glass Menagerie, Jack and the Beanstalk, One for the Road, Blithe Spirit, April in Paris, The Ghost Train, Lost World, Brief Encounter, Sleuth, Sleeping Beauty, Romeo and Juliet, Keep on Running, Blitz and Perfect Pitch.

Freelance design credits include: Year 10 (Finborough Theatre and Battersea Arts Centre); Martha, Josie and the Chinese Elvis (Salisbury Playhouse); Room at the Top and It’s a Fine Life (Queen’s Theatre, Hornchurch). 

Set designs for The Mill at Sonning: Time of My Life, A Night in Provence, Guilty Secret, Loves a Luxury and Room Service Included. Also The Heiress, Plaza Suite, The Odd Couple, I Ought to Be in Pictures, California Suite with director Anthony Valentine, and a quartet of Agatha Christie’s with director Brian Blessed: The Hollow, Spiders Web, The Unexpected Guest and Towards Zero (The Mill at Sonning).

Pantomimes for Liverpool Everyman Playhouse with director Mark Chatterton: Mother Goose, Dick Whittington, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Jack and the Beanstalk, Aladdin, Little Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel, Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, The Snow Queen, Sleeping Beauty (a different version!) and Robin Hood. 

In 2022 I was nominated for Best Design and the production won Best Pantomime for Robin Hood in the British Pantomime Awards.

West End credit: Murderous Instincts (Savoy Theatre, London)
